AngloINFO Riviera, the first AngloINFO
site, launched September 2000 serving the southern French
region of the Côte d'Azur and Monaco. Managed for the first
four years by AngloINFO's founders, it quickly grew to become the primary web destination for
anyone seeking information or services in English regarding
the region. It also
became a much loved local "meeting place" and an
effective marketing tool for the ever-growing client base and
continues to be something of a household name among the local
anglophone community.
In February 2005, Maria McLean was appointed as General
Manager. Maria was most recently Director of Sales for Thistle
Hotels in London and her career spans major hotel groups,
independent conference hotels and a provincial theatre, always
in sales and marketing roles.
A committed user of AngloINFO for a number of years Maria
moved to France in 2004, together with her husband Ray, son
Wills, her mother and two cats, Star and Trek...
Although owning a house in the Provençal village of Aups,
the move to France meant the purchase of a second property to
be run as a bed and breakfast in the village, managed by Ray and Maria's monther. Maria runs AngloINFO Riviera and also the
newly launched AngloINFO Provence, and finds working with
the AngloINFO team is a new and exciting challenge.
The AngloINFO Riviera team consists of John Holding and
Jennifer Thomson, Sales Executives, Sandra Shadrach, Accountant and George Farmer as
Editorial Assistant.
