AngloINFO Normandy serves the five départements of the
Normandy region of Northern France. Haute Normandie includes
Eure (27) and Seine Maritime (76). Basse Normandie comprises
Calvados (14), Manche (50) and Orne (61).
AngloINFO Normandy launched in April 2004 with Franchisees
Martin and Sheena Gardner taking over the operation in October
2005. Born in 1956 and a Geologist by profession, Uxbridge born
Martin spent 26 years working for a major Oil Industry service
company. Initially working offshore UK North Sea, Martin's
career developed into management, with responsibilities for
various locations, including UK, France, Tunisia, Azerbaijan,
Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan USA, Oman, Qatar and
throughout West Africa.
Sheena, a native of the Isle of Skye,
also worked within the Oil Industry in Aberdeen before setting
off with Martin to Glasgow, then London and finally abroad.
Sheena's background is in business administration and HR.
Martin and Sheena first moved abroad in 1993, spending 3
wonderful years close to Versailles. In 1996 they moved to
Tunisia, followed by 2 years in Baku, Azerbaijan 1997 - 1999
and 2 years in Oman 2001-2003.
Having lived many years as
expatriates, Martin and Sheena have a comprehensive
understanding of the needs of people living and working in
foreign countries where English is not the native language. In
2003, bored with the pressures of a Corporate life and
yearning to return to France, Martin and Sheena 'retired' to
33 acres of the Perche Natural Park in Orne where they have
been busy renovating houses and looking after the cats, dogs
and horses that are their family.
