The Midi-Pyrénées is the largest region in France comprising the departments of Ariege 09, Aveyron 12, Gers 32, Haute Garonne 31, Hautes Pyrenees 65, Lot 46, Tarn 81, Tarn et Garonne 82.
The capital, Toulouse (31), is currently the fastest growing city in France with over one million inhabitants accounting for almost half the population of the entire region. This growth can be partly attributed to the establishment of the Airbus industry, which has attracted a large international community to the area.
AngloINFO Midi-Pyrénées launched in November 2005 with franchisees Paul and Beth Spelman taking the helm on 1 February 2006.
Paul spent 25 years working in the airline Industry, initially in his hometown of Cardiff, then with British Caledonian in London and latterly as a Marketing Director with Amadeus (World's largest airline Reservation System) where he worked in London, Madrid, Nice, Australasia, New York and Miami.

Her planned short sabbatical led to a 15-year career working as a chef aboard luxury motor yachts in the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, Red Sea and Caribbean. Beth speaks fluent French as well as conversational Spanish and Italian. Seduced during a visit to Gascony by the beautiful countryside, Armagnac, Foie Gras and Rugby The Spelman family decided to move from Corporate to Country life with their nine-year-old daughter where they are currently renovating an old farmhouse in the Gers.
