AngloINFO Liguria, also known as the Italian Riviera, serves the four provinces of Savona, Genoa, La Spezia and Imperia. This thin coastal region neighbouring France is divided into two parts with the Riviera Ponente to the west and the Riviera Levante to the east. Between the two lies the former trading post and capital town of the region, Genoa. Genoa is Italy’s most important commercial port and was home to sea admiral Andrea Doria and the explorer of world renown, Christopher Columbus.
The region is famous for its coastal villages notably in the Cinque Terre, declared a UNESCO protected area in 1997. From the exclusive resort of Portofino with a harbour able to accommodate super yachts to the ski resorts of the Ligurian Alps, this tiny region has much to offer.
Acting Manager of AngloINFO Liguria is Fiona Aris. Fiona worked for many years in magazine publishing before moving abroad to live in Norway, Greece and Italy. On her return to the UK she worked in media recruitment and in business teaching before joining AngloINFO as Business Development Director. She has two teenage sons, James (18) and Nick (16) and spends much of her spare time trying to persuade them to get up and do some work or transporting them to and from rugby matches!
AngloINFO Liguria provides those living in the area - or planning a move there - all the features and benefits to which AngloINFO's users elsewhere in Italy, France, Spain, Cyprus, Singapore and Switzerland are accustomed
