AngloINFO Almeria is the sixth AngloINFO in Spain. It covers the provinces of Almeria and Granada in the autonomous region of Andalucia. Although less well known than the neighbouring Costa del Sol, Almeria and Granada have lots to offer both tourists and residents. There are beautiful coastal areas and beaches including the Costa Tropical and Costa de Almeria. The Costa Tropical is considered particularly picturesque and relatively untouched. The Sierra Nevada massif encompasses the Mulhacén, Veleta and Alcazaba mountains and offers the most southern ski resort in Europe.
There are many sites of historical and architectural interest in the region. The Alhambra, located in Granada, is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Spain and a recognised world heritage site. The Alcazaba in Almeria is the second largest Muslim fortress in Andalucia.
Acting Manager of AngloINFO Almeria is Fiona Aris. Fiona worked for many years in magazine publishing before moving abroad to live in Norway, Greece and Italy. On her return to the UK she worked in media recruitment and in business teaching before joining AngloINFO as Business Development Director. She has two teenage sons, James and Nick and spends much of her spare time trying to persuade them to get up and do some work or transporting them to and from rugby matches!
AngloINFO Almeria provides those living in the area - or planning a move there - all the features and benefits to which AngloINFO's users elsewhere in Spain and in France, Cyprus, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland and Singapore are accustomed.
